Obituary of Maitland George HUNTER

Peacefully, surrounded by family, at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, on Friday, January 5, 2018, George Maitland Hunter, of London, passed away at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Gwen (nee Bergeron). Predeceased by his first wife, Davina (nee McDougall). Cherished father of Elaine Hunter (Lindsay Gunn) of St. Thomas, Moira Hunter-Kenyon (Rob) of Paris, Ontario and Graeme Hunter of Knoxville, Tennessee. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Graham and Jeffrey Carver and Emily Budac and Gillian Sonnenberg. Great-grandfather of Nathan Budac. Also survived by two step-children, four step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. George was a devoted member Nilestown Masonic Lodge No. 345 A.F. & A.M. and recently, the London Shriners. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Mocha Shrine Centre, 468 Colborne Street, London, Ontario, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow.
