Obituary of Gerard Johannes Nooren

September 12, 1933 – September 2, 2020 

Gerard (Gerry) Nooren passed away peacefully on September 2, 2020 at home with Joanne, Henny and Linda at his side. He is survived by his wife Joanne, son Henny (Linda) three grandsons; Darin (Sarah), Corey (Kaitie) and Garod (Jessie) and grandsons Bryce, Rhett, Shane and Tate.  

He was a farmer all his life, which was also his hobby. He accomplished what he set out to do in life. He was very proud of his cow Lois who became a Canadian Champion. After retirement he became involved with his grandsons and their horses. He enjoyed riding until the pain no longer let him. He will be missed by all his family and friends.  

A big thank you to Dr. Jim and Dr. Joe and nurse Jody for their kindness and understanding and the ladies of Closing the Gap for their loving care over the years.  

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to the restrictions of COVID. Arrangements entrusted to St. Thomas Elgin Cremation (519) 857-5246
